News

The I-T department has identified 12 lakh assessees who do not file returns and are doing their follow-up action on them.
The Income Tax department has sent letters to additional 35,000 assessees who do not file returns.
Salaried employees having total income of upto 5 lakhs including income from other sources upto Rs. 10,000 will now have to file income-tax returns from A/Y 2013-14 onwards.
